Pinus petrophila Aver., sp. nov.

Quang Nam Prov., Dai Loc Distr., Dai Hong municipality, environs of Dai Hong town around point 15°49’01”N 107°56’31”E. Remnants of primary and secondary dry broadleaved evergreen forest on rocky sandy uplifted plateau composed with eroded sandstone at elev. about 600-650 m a.s.l. Tree about 10 m tall in gnarled thicket of Baeckia frutescens along rocky plateau cliff. Rare.
