Quang Binh Province, Le Thuy District, Kim Thuy Municipality. Secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest with bamboo on very steep river slopes composed by shaly limestone at elevation about 350 m a.s.l. around point 17º4’29’’N 106º43’5’’E. Tree to 7 m tall (10 cm DBH) on open rocky place in associate with Fagaceae and bamboo. Fruits blue. Locally common.
