Quang Binh Province, Le Thuy District, Kim Thuy Municipality. Secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest with bamboo on very steep river slopes composed by shaly limestone at elevation about 60–100 m a.s.l. around point 17º4’29’’N 106º43’5’’E.
Terrestrial rhizomatous herb with many stilt roots and erect leaves to 0.7 m long with elliptic leaf blade. Flowers obovoid to obconoid? From pale olive greenish to dull pink, fruits light brownish, covered by many small with bark-like particles. Locally common.
