Quang Binh Province, Le Thuy District, Kim Thuy Municipality. Secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest with bamboo on very steep river slopes composed by shaly limestone at elevation about 160 m a.s.l. around point 17º4’29’’N 106º43’5’’E. Tree to 15 m tall along rocky stream. Seeds red. Not rare.
