Secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest with bamboo on very steep river slopes composed by shaly limestone at elevation about 60 m a.s.l. around point 17º4’29’’N 106º43’5’’E. Erect shrub to 2 m tall in open sandy place along river. Flowers bright red. Common.
