Quang Binh Province, Le Thuy District, Kim Thuy Municipality. Secondary and primary fractionally logged evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep hill slopes composed by gray and yellow solid marble-like limestone at elevation about 200–250 m a.s.l. around point 16º59.5 N 106º38.2 E. Herbaceous vine 4–5 m long among open secondary shrubs along road. Fruits ellipsoid to ovoid 6–8 cm in diameter, with yellow and green longitudinal stripes, later uniform yellow. Pulp inside black, seeds glossy brown. Not common.
