Melastomataceae

Sonerila sp.

Lam Dong Province, Di Linh District, Gia Bac Village. Secondary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest (with Pinus kesiya) on granite on very steep slopes at elevation 1000-1100 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb to 20 cm tall on shady slope along small rocky stream. Leaves dull light green marked above, light purple below. Flowers pink to light purple. Not common.
