Bac Kan Province, Ba Be District, Cao Thuong Community, Ba Be National Park. Primary and old secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slopes composed by white crystalline marble-like highly eroded limestone around point 22º27’20’’N 105º36’06’E at elevation of about 750 m a.s.l. Erect palm like plant with distinct internodes to 20 cm long ant stem to 2.5 m tall, and leaves to 3 m long in shady wet place between limestone hills. Not rare/
