Dak Lak Province, Lac District, southern part of Nam Kar Nature Reserve around point 12º16’10’’N 108º05’24’’E at elevations of about 600 m a.s.l. Open steep rocky slope in secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest with bamboo along road. Terrestrial plant with underground caudex and 1-2 erect leaves to 1.5 m long on shady slope. Locally common.
