Northern Vietnam, Lao Cai Prov., Van Ban Distr., Khanh Yen Ha municipality, to the SW of Na Nheo village (in the vicinity of point 21ш57'15''N, 104ш12'39''E). Primary broad-leaved evergreen montane forest along tops of granite/quartzite ridge at elev. 2400-2500 m a.s.l. Tree 5-6 m hg. Flowers white. Not rare.
