Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr, about 2 km to the NE of Quan Ba town, around point 23є05’49’’N, 105є01’00’’E at elevation about 1150 m a.s.l. Primary coniferous forest with Calocedrus rupestris, Callitropsis vietnamensis and Pseudotsuga sinensis on rocky highly eroded marble-like limestone remnant mountains. Achlorophyllous ground root light reddish parasite on steep rocky mossy shady slope. Flowers dull reddish, anthers white. Not common.
