Ninh Binh Province, Cuc Phuong National Park, 20°15'N 105°421'E, 160 m, evergreen forest on undulating ground prone to flooding, in a sticky clay-like soil surrounded by limestone outcrops, growing with Ophiopogon and Peliosanthes species, as well as several other species of Aspidistra including A. zhangii, both growing on the higher parts of the undulation, 20.01.2018, Bleddyn Wynn-Jones, BWJ 15702.
