Primary broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slopes and cliffs of Svoi Lap remnant mountain composed with highly eroded solid marble-like limestone at elevation 600-700 m a.s.l. Clustering epiphyte on small mossy tree on rocky mountain top. Rare.

Flowered under cultivation in July-September 2009. Flowers odorless, lateral sepals pure yellow-orange, median sepal and petals yellow-orange with purple-violet stripes, lip orange-red, pedicel and ovary violet. Photos.
