Northern Vietnam, Lao Cai Prov., Van Ban Distr., to the west of Nam Xay village (21ш58'42''N, 104ш00'37''E). Primary broad-leaved evergreen wet montane forest with Fokienia hodginsii (as emergent) on rocky slope at elev. 1650 m a.s.l. Lithophyte on large mossy boulders and epiphyte on mossy trees. Not rare.
