Epigeneium chapaense Gagnep.

Lao Cai Van Ban District; Nam Xe Municipality; Nam Xi Tan Village. Collection in forest on steep W-facing slope along stream; just above village; on N side of road between Nam Xe and Khau Co Pass at near 40 km to Than Uyen mark. 22°02'31"N 103°58'32"E 700 - 1113 m Frequent, at ridgetop, epiphytic on high tree. Sterile; plants all green.
