Epigenium amplum

Son La Moc Chau district, Van Ho municipality, Hua Tat village. On degraded limestone mountain, rocky outcrops from ca. 1200-1350 m surrounded by cultivated fields, mostly logged for valuable timber; on limestone. 20°46'18"N 104°47'45"E 1200 - 1350 m Occasional; epiphyte; up in trees to 10 m; stems to 5 m long; scales brown over pseudo bulb; outer tepals yellow with orange; more orange at base; inside labellum spotted in deep red purple; tip of rostellum dull yellow.
