Khanh Hoa Province, Khanh Vĩnh District, eastern slopes of Chu Mu Mountains at elevation 350450 m a.s.l. Dry secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep granite and shale slopes. Terrestrial herb with thick hypogeous rhizome on sandy slope along small rocky stream. Old flowers dark violet to almost black, stigma yellowish, fruits dirty green, spiny in apical half.
