Primary and old secondary broad-leaved evergreen forest on steep slopes composed with solid shaly limestone at elevation 900–950 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb on steep rocky shady slope. Fruit pricky, globular, to 4 cm in diam, with 6(7) seeds inside. Occasional.
