Old humid secondary evergreen broad-leaved submontane forest of steep mountain slopes composed with sandstone at elevations 700–800 m a.s.l. along small stream. Terrestrial herb on shady slope along stream. Flowers light lilac to almost white. Seeds glossy blue. Very common.
