Dendrobium guangxiense S.J.Cheng et C.Z.Tang, 1986, Orch. Digest, 50,
3 : 95 (= D. mitriferum Aver.).
Type: "Guangxi: Purchuased from the Shanghai Medicine Co., V.4, 1978,
Cheng Shi-jun 780116" - SCBI.

N. Vietnam, prov. Cao Bang, distr. Nguyen Binh, municipality Ca Thanh
(N 22ø44' E 105ø50'). Primary semideciduous mixed forest along tops of
remnant karst limestone ridge at 1350-1400 m elev. Epiphyte. Flowers:
sepals white outside with light pink tint and yellowish base, petals
white with light pink tint along central vein, lip with yellow center
of hypohile, white margin and deep purple spot on epichile, column
dull yellow with purple spots at middle and at the base, anther-cap
bright lilac. Not rare.
