Primary evergreen broad-leaved and coniferous (with Dacrycarpus and Fokienia) wet forest along ridge edge composed with shale and sandstone at elevation about 900-1100 m a.s.l. Lithophytic herb on wet mossy stream rocks. Inflorescence yellowish. Common.
