S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, distr. Lac Duong, municipalite Da Chay, 40 km to NE from Dalat city. Open swamp in closed primary evergreen mixed cloud forest with domination of Pinus krempfii on SW macroslope of Hon Giao mt. ridge at 1650-1700 m alt. (N 12°11', E 108°43'). Tree up to 4-5 m hg. Not rare (very rare in flowers).
