Pandanus tonkinensis

S.Vietnam, Ninh Thuan Prov., Ninh Hai Distr., Vinh Hai Municipality, E slopes on Nui Chua mountains to SW of point 11o43'52''N 109o08'35''E at elev. about 600-800 m a.s.l. Primary evergreen dry forest on steep rocky mountain slopes composed with granite. Palm-like shrub 2-3 m tall. Fruits ovate-cylindrical 15-20 cm long and about 9 cm in diam. Common.
