S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, distr. Lac Duong, municipalite Da Chay and Prov. Khanh Hoa, distr. Khanh Son boundary region, 41 km to NE from Dalat city. Primary closed broadleaved cloud forest on tops of Nui Hon Giao ridge at 1950-2050 m alt. (N 12° 11′, E 108° 43′). Tree about 8-12 m hg. Not rare, especially on tops of ridge.
