Secondary broad-leaved evergreen open dry forest with bamboo on very steep rocky mountain slopes composed by shaly limestone at elev. 700-900 m a.s.l. Terrestrial and lithophytic rosulate herb on very steep shady slope of small rocky stream. Leaves to 1 m long. Not common.
