N. Vietnam, prov. Ha Giang, distr. Yen Minh, municipality Du Gia, E slopes of Phu Tha Ca mountain system at 1800-2000 m elev. (N 23ø56' E 105ø13'). Primary evergreen broadleaved very wet mossy cloud forest on quartzite very steep slopes. Terrestrial and lithophyte herb on shady quartzite cliff. Flowers pink. Leaves above deep green, below purple-violet. Common.
