N.Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr., Bat Dai Son Municipality, Chong To Te Valley, Bat Dai Son Natural Reserve around point 23008' 132N, 105000'777E. Near primary closed evergreen dry broad-leaved mixed needles, forest on steep slopes or top mountains limestone at elevation 1294m a.s.l. Common on top with Taxus chinensis, Garcinia fagraeoides Nageia fleuryi, Pseudotsuga brevifolia, Paphiopedilum henryanum, P. micranthum.
