Nghe An Prov., Ky Son Distr., Na Ngoi Municipality, eastern slopes of Phu Xai Lai Leng mountain system. Primary broad-leaved and mixed forest (with Cunninghamia) on very steep mountain slopes on granite at elevation about 1900 m a.s.l. around point 19°13’37.5’’N 104°06’11.8’’E.
Clustering epiphyte on mossy tree. Locally very common.
