N.Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr., Bat Dai Son Municipality, Chong To Te Valley, Bat Dai Son Natural Reserve around point 23008' 125N, 105000'787E. Near primary closed evergreen dry broad-leaved mixed needles, forest on steep slopes or top mountains limestone at elevation 1332m a.s.l. Common on top with Taxus chinensis, Nageia fleuryi, Pseudotsuga brevifolia, Paphiopedilum henryanum, P. micranthum.
