N.Vietnam, Bac Kan Prov., Na Ri Distr., Liem Thuy Municipality, village Na Bo, around point 21º56'44''N, 106º05'09''E, at elevation 300-700 m a.s.l. Primary broad-leaved evergreen closed wet forest on very steep slopes and cliffs of rocky ridges and mesae composed with white solid marble-like crystalline limestone.

Tree up to 30 m tall and 1.5 m in diam, about 500 years old (on rings calculation) on tops of ridge. Common. Occasional co-dominant of fragments of coniferous forest on tops of ridge. Cones erect about 15

cm long and 3-4 cm in diam.

Lam Dong Province, the border of Lac Duong and Dam Rong districts, Bidoup – Nui Ba National Park, mountain evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest (with Pinus kesiya) at elevation 1600–1800 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb in shady place along rocky mountain stream. Not common. 21 February 2023, L. Averyanov, Nguyen Van Canh, Nong Van Duy, AL 2173. Living plant only.

Primary evergreen lowland seasonal broad-leaved forest on granite along flat rocky river valley at 240-260 m a.s.l. Woody vine 20-30 m lg up to 10 cm in diam. Not rare.

Primary evergreen seasonal broad-leaved closed lowland forest on clayey shale at foothill slopes of rocky ridge composed with crystalline marble-like highly eroded limestone at elev. 500-700 m. Woody vine 25-30 m lg. Fructifications red-orange. Not common.

Primary broad-leaved evergreen lowland Dipterocarpus dry forest on rolling low hills at elevation about 178 m a.s.l. Giant woody vine to 40 m long. Male strobils green. Not common.

Primary closed evergreen and semi deciduous broad-leaved lowland dry forest and open woodlands on hill slopes on basalt and shale mother rocks. Woody vine 20-30 m long, Fructifications deep green with silver irregular spots. Common.

Vietnam, Dak Nong Prov., Dak Glong Distr., Dak Plao Municipality, steep mountain slopes of Ta Dung mountain system at elevation 600-800 m a.s.l. around point 11º52’14’’N 107º59’34’’E. Secondary dense broad-leaved evergreen wet forest with bamboo on steep rocky W faced stream slopes composed with crystalline highly metamorphosed sandstone. Treelet 2.5-3 m tall on shady steep rocky stream slope. Not common.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Kontum. Evergreen close primary forest on SE slope of Ngoc Linh mountain system at 2100 m alt., on the boundary of Kontum and Quangnam-Danang provinces. Yellowish parasite on Fagaceae Dumortier sp. roots. Flowers yellowish. Not too rare.

S. Vietnam, Kontum Prov., Kon Plong Distr., Hieu Municipality, Mang La forest enterprise (14º39'N, 108º25'E). Primary degraded (by logging) broad-leaved evergreen mountain forest with Dacrycarpus and Dacrydium on sandstone slopes at elev. 1100-1200 m. Yellowish-white ground root parasite (on Castanopsis?) in shady place. Very rare.
