Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on very steep rocky slopes and on vertical cliffs of remnant highly eroded rocky limestone mountains composed by solid crystalline stratified limestone at elevation 1550-1650 m. Tree to 20 m tall and 70 cm DBH on rocky slope near mountain top. Common.

Primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest on W macroslope at elevation from 500 m to the mountain top elevated to 1425 m. Tree 6-7 m tall and to 40 cm DBH. Very common on mountain slopes near top and on tops at elevations 1300-1425 m. Co-dominant of wind formed gnarled forest on mountain summit.

Primary evergreen humid mixed and coniferous forest on slopes composed with silicate rocks. Tree 5-7 m tall along ridge tops at elevation 1200-1350 m. Very common.

Usual dominant of the highly endangered relictual mono-dominant forest swamp forest numbering at the study moment about 40 living trees.

Remnants of primary broad-leaved evergreen lowland forest on rocky remnant highly eroded solid marble-like limestone hills and low mountains with very steep slopes and vertical cliffs. Tree about 10 m tall on shady slope. Not common.

Secondary broad-leaved evergreen forest with bamboo on very steep rocky slopes. Sapling 1-1.5 m tall of tree up to 15-20 m tall (no one were found). Not common.

Vietnam, Dak Lak Prov., Krong Bong Distr., Hoa Son Municipality, vicinities of Krong Kmar river, NE slopes of Chu Yang Sin mt system at elevation about 800-1000 m a.s.l. Primary mixed broad-leaved and coniferous forest with Pinus krempfii, Dacrycarpus imbricatus and Dacrydium elatum along ridge edge. Tree 25-30 m tall and 1.2 m in diam. Common. Co-dominant of first forest stratum. Seeds deep brown, fructifications stalk juicy red-purple, sweet, delicious.
