Primary and secondary broad-leaved forest on steep shale hill slopes along Khe Viet stream at elevation about 70 m a.s.l. Lithophytic rosulate herb on shady wet shale rocky steep slope along stream. Flowers white. Occasional.

Fractionally logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest along steep slopes composed with shale.

Terrestrial herb on shady wet slopes along stream. Flowers white. Very common.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Kon Tum, Distr. Dak Gley, about 15-18 km to NW of Dak Gley town, near Mang Khen (Dak Che) village. Primary evergreen mountain very wet forest in deep stream canyon at 1000 m alt. Reddosh-brown root parasite (on roots of Poikilospermum sp.). Not common.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Kon Tum, Distr. Dak Gley, about 10-12 km to the SE of Dak Gley town (4-6 km to the E of Dak Tung village). Primary evergreen mountain mixed (with Pinus khesya) forest at 1100-1200 m alt. Large reddish root parasite up to 0.2 m high. Very rare.

N. Vietnam, Ha Giang prov., Meo Vac distr., vicinities of Meo Vac town (N 23є10' E 105є24'), 48.2 km to 36є of Ha Giang city. Primary evergreen broadleaved wet closed forest on sandstones at elev. 1400-1600 m a.s.l. Brightly red root parasite on very steep shady slope. Not common.

(N 12° 07', E 108° 42'). Root chlorophyll less yellowish parasite on Tetrastigma sp. ? Not common.

Remnants of broad-leaved (former coniferous with Fokienia hodginsii) primary and secondary forest on steep slopes and on tops of ridge composed with clay shale at elev. 1500-1600 m a.s.l.

Terrestrial achlorophyllous root brightly red parasite on shady wet stream slope. Rare.

Ground root achlorophyllous pure white parasite on shady slope. Flowers white. Occasional.
