Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on steep mountain slopes composed with shale at elevation 800-1000 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb to 2 m tall on very steep shady rocky slope. Flowers light pink. Primary fractionaly logged coniferous forest with Pseudotsuga sinensis along highly eroded rocky limestone ridge at elevation about 1400 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb with thick plagiotropic rhizome to 30 cm long and erect leaves to 0.8 m long in dark humid depression between shady cliffs in middle part of mountain slope. Primary fractionaly logged coniferous forest with Pseudotsuga sinensis along highly eroded rocky limestone ridge at elevation 1150-1250 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb with short creeping rhizome in shady humid place in rocky valley. Flower buds dirty dark purple-green. Terrestrial herb with thick creeping underground rhizome on very steep shady slope. Flowers brown-purple, fruits dirty greenish-gray. Open secondary forest, woodlands and open secondary scrub at elevation 750-1000 m a.s.l. around point 19°27’19.4’’N 104°06’25.8’’E. Terrestrial herb in shady place along small stream in remnants of shady secondary forest. Not common. 29 October 2013 CPC 6412 / 13265 Coll.: L.Averyanov, N.T.Hiep, N.S.Khang, L.M.Tuan Living plant. Flowered in cultivation in 20 November 2017. Flowers dark dirty brown-purple, free perianth lobes white to light yellowish. L.Averyanov.
