Epiphyte (on Pistacia cucphuongensis, Memecylon sp., Quercus sp., Allospondias lakonensis, Choerospondias axillaris, Pometia pinnata, Aglaia sp., Pterospermum spp., Knema sp.) on high trees. Remnants of primary broadleaved evergreen forest on rocky sandy uplifted plateau composed with eroded sandstone at elev. about 500 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb to 2 m tall in swampy grassy place along small rocky stream. Tepals white, lip purple-violet, epichile white. Locally very common.

Cultivated plant originated from Khanh Hoa prov., Ninh Thuan, dry dipterocarp forest in 2009. Flowers odorless, sepals, petals, column and anther white, lip white, epichile with yellow central stripe, side lobes with light purple nerves. 23 April 2015 AL 10 photos + flowers fixed in alcohol + one living plant.
