Primary mossy wet coniferous forest with Fokienia hodginsii along main ridge. Epiphyte on mossy tree in cloudy gnarled coniferous forest with bamboo. Flowers green, lip green-yellowish with deep green apex. Very rare.

Terrestrial herb up to 60 cm hg in mossy places. Locally common.

Collections from disturbed secondary forest on ridgetop with bamboo and lack of mosses on rocks. Remnants of primary forest and herbaceous vegetation on upper slopes, on limestone and shale soils with large, anciently eroded marble-like limestone. 20°34'17"N 105°01'58"E 648 m Abundant, lithophytic and epiphytic; plants green; pedicel red-brown; petals dull light orange-red; upper petal lighter with yellow at base; labellum tipped in red orange.

Son La Prov., Yen Chau Distr., Muong Lum Municipality, Na Lang Village, around point 21°01′17″N 104°30′47″E. Broad-leaved evergreen dry forest on steep slopes and on tops of ridge composed with rocky crystalline solid marble-like highly eroded limestone at elev. 900-1000 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte and lithophyte. Flowers pinkish. Very common.

N.Vietnam, Bac Kan Prov., Ba Be Distr., Nam Mau Municipality, Ba Be National Park around point 22o23′22′'N 105o37′09′'E. Selectly logged primary evergreen dry broad-leaved forest on very steep slopes and cliffs composed with crystalline highly eroded marble-like limestone near the top of ridge at elevation 500 m a.s.l. Lithophytic herb on open rocky outcrops. Locally common.

Hoa Binh, Mai Chau District; Pa Co Municipality, approx. 154 km from Hanoi; then west approx. 1 km on road in Rung Gin area near Na Pai Village. Collection on ridge immediately S of road. Disturbed forest near cultivations; and then on rocks,

steep at the ridge. Few valuable species of trees or orchids remain. 20°44'31"N 104°56'24"E 1094 - 1200 m Occasional, epiphytic; sterile; all green.

Na Ri District; An Tinh Township; Na Duуng Village; Kim Hy National Protected Area. Collections along ridge and in surrounding forest areas, in Burretiodendron forest on limestone of large rocks leading up to crystalline, marble-like (karstic) limestone at the ridgetop. Collections between two coordinate points: : 22,12,18 E, 106.04. at 410m to 22.12.25 N, 106.03.57 E at 742 m at the ridgetop.

Lai Chau Prov., Sin Ho Distr., Ta Phin Municipality, around point 22°27′13″N 103°16′31″E. Remnants of broad-leaved evergreen closed primary forest on steep mountain slopes composed with solid crystalline highly eroded limestone at elev. 1100-1200 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on mossy trees on shady cliffs. Flowers light pink. Very common.
