Clustering epiphyte on mossy trees on vertical shady cliff. Not rare.

Slightly logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved lowland forest with the dominance of species of Dipterocarpaceae (Dipterocarpus dyeri, D. costatus, D. alatus, D. obtusifolius, Shorea sp.) mixed with Lagerstroemia calyculata, Irvingia malayana, Anogeissus acuminata, Sindora siamensis, Pterospermum sp., on thin soils at elevation about 13 m a.s.l. Epiphyte in shady place. Very rare.

Flowered and collected in horto at February – March 2009. Flowers odorless, sepals and petals light yellowish, lip white with yellow and reddish-brown spots, apex white, column and anther light yellow.

Heavily logged primary and secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest and scrub on rocky ridge composed with solid and stratified marble-like highly eroded crystalline limestone at elevation 550-650 m a.s.l.

Epiphyte (on Pistacia cucphuongensis, Memecylon sp., Quercus sp., Allospondias lakonensis, Pometia pinnata, Aglaia sp., Pterospermum spp., Knema sp., Streblus macrophyllus) on high trees along tops of ridge. Not rare.

Secondary and primary evergreen dry forest on very steep rocky mountain slopes composed by solid marble like highly eroded limestone at elev. 600-750 m a.s.l.

Clustering epiphyte on mossy old tree on rocky mountain top. Occasional.

Vietnam, Quang Binh Prov., Minh Hoa Distr., Thuong Hoa Municipality, about 1 km to N of Ban On village (17°40′21′'N, 105°58′00E).

Logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved lowland forest along stream and foothills of rocky ridge composed with solid marble-like highly eroded crystalline limestone at elevation 340-400 m a.s.l.

Epiphyte on high tree (Sterculia sp., Dracontomelon duperreanum, Anogeissus acuminata, Lagerstroemia sp., Bischofia javanica, Pometia pinnata, Pterospermum spp., Allospondias lakonensis) along stream. Not common.
