limestone ridge at elev. 1000-1200 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on Pseudotsuga.
Flowers yellow-orange, lip deep brown-violet. Common.

Vietnam, Thua Thien – Hue Prov., Huong Thuy Distr., Duong Hoa Municipality, Huong Thuy forest enterprise territory, around point 16°13'25''N, 107°34'09''E, rocky quartzite outcrops along Mang Chan ridge at elevation about 825 m a.s.l. Fractionally logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest along ridge tops composed with white eroded quartzite. Epiphyte on mossy trees. Flowers white, with very pleasant fragrance, lip with 4 violet spots. Not common.

Primary mixed and coniferous forest (with Dacrydium elatum and Dacrycarpus imbricatus) on very steep rocky slope and on rocky top of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded solid crystalline limestone at elevation 750-800 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on tall mossy trees on steep shady rocky slope near to mountain top. Flowers white, fragrant, lip white with purple marks. Very common.

Creeping lithophyte on mountain top. Sepals and petals white to light yellowish with pale brown marks, lip white, column white, anther light yellowish. Locally very common.

Epiphytic creeping herb on mossy trees in humid place on slopes and along ridge edge. Flowers white to very light yellowish. Very common.

Eria lasiopetala (Willd.) Ormerod
Laos, Vientiane prov., Vang Vieng district, close vicinities of Vang Vien town, Phu Ngeum Mt., secondary degraded evergreen forest on steep rocky slopes and cliffs composed with karstic highly eroded marble-like limestone at elevation at 350-500 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte on mossy gnarled tree on mountain top. Very common.

Flowered in 15 September 2018. Sepals and petals lemon-yellow, lip white with dark purple apex and side lobes. Photos L. Averyanov.
