quartzite very steep slopes. Terrestrial and lithophyte herb on mossy quartzite cliffs. Common.

N. Vietnam, prov. Lao Cai, distr. Than Uyen, municipality Ho Mit (N 22є06' E 103є52'). Elevation to Mang Han San quartzite peak by SW slope from Ban Thao village (SSW macroslope of Hoang Lien Son ridge).

Primary wet evergreen broadleaved forest on very steep rocky slope at 1900 m elev. Lithophyte forb on wet shady bluffs. Common.

Common.

Not rare and sometimes dominante on SE and S slopes of Ngoc Linh mountain system at 1400-1700 m alt. (rare on N, NW and W slopes).

Fractionally logged primary closed broad-leaved evergreen lowland forest along La Ma River on very steep hill slopes composed with clayey shale and sandstone at elevation 300-400 m a.s.l. Lithophytic and terrestrial herb on rocky steep hill slope. Flowers light blue. Locally common.

Rich secondary broadleaved evergreen forest on very steep rocky slopes and cliffs composed with eroded sandstone at elev. 400-500 m a.s.l. Terrestrial rosulate herb among large shady mossy boulders on very steep humid rocky slope. Flower white. Common.
