Leaves simple, opposite, elliptic or lanceolate, tomentose in both sides, acute at the base, acuminate at apex, stipules bilobed. Inflorescence cymes, flower white, small. Fruit subcircular, red when ripe.

Lam Dong Province, Dam Rong District, Da Tong Commune, Da Nhinh 2 Hamlet. Herb. Stem tomentose. Leaves opposite, lanceolate, tomentose in both sides, obtuse at base, acute at apex. Stipule short, rounded, with several long hair. Inflorescence axillary, sessile.

Fruit pricky, globular, to 4 cm in diam, with 6(7) seeds inside. Occasional.

Dak Nong Province, Dak Song District, Nam Nung Nature Reserve around point 12.1200N 107.4233E. Fractionally logged primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest with Dacrydium, Dacrycarpus and Pinus latteri on granite at elevation about 900 m a.s.l. Palm-like plant with ascending few branched stem to 1 m tall in wet rocky place along small forest stream. Fruits green. Not rare.
