Bac Kan Province, Ba Be District, Ba Be National Park. Primary and old secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slopes composed by white crystalline marble-like highly eroded limestone around point 22º27’26’’N 105º36’12’E at elev. of 600-800 m a.s.l. Creeping, ascending and erect terrestrial herb to 0.5 m tall in shady rocky place. Locally very common.

Laos, Vientiane prov., Vang Vieng district, close vicinities of Vang Vien town, Phu Ngeum Mt., secondary degraded evergreen forest on steep rocky slopes and cliffs composed with karstic highly eroded marble-like limestone at elevation at 350-500 m a.s.l., terrestrial herb with glossy, dark green leaves to 20 cm long on steep shady mt slope. Not common.
