Primary broad-leaved evergreen lowland forest on montane hills composed with shale. Small canopy epiphyte on mossy trees along rocky river valley. Flowers yellow with pinkish spots. Rare.

N. Vietnam, Prov. Cao Bang, distr. Tra Linh, municipalite Quoc Toan, vicinity of Thang Heng and Lung Tao villages near Thang Heng lake. Open dry primary mixed forest with domination of Keteleeria fortunei on tops of limestone mesas and ridges at 800-850 m alt. Terrestrial and epilitic herb on rocky steep rather open slopes near

tops of mesas. Flowers light greenish-yellow with pink tint. Leaves pink. Not rare.

Remnants of primary broad-leaved evergreen closed wet forest on very

steep slopes and cliffs of rocky ridges and mesae composed with solid

marble-like stratified limestone.

Lithophytic herb on steep slope. Flowers yellowish-green with

pink-brown tint. Occasional.

Sometimes flowers white or deep pink-purple. Lip sometimes with deep yellow center. Rare, but occasionally in very large colonies.

Begoniaceae

N. Vietnam, Tuyen Quang prov., Na Hang distr., Xuan Tam municipality,

near Ban Cai village (22º29'18''N, 105º19'47''E). Primary broad-leaved

evergreen dry forest on very steep slopes of highly eroded remnant

limestone ridge at elev. 450-500 m a.s.l. Lithophytic herb adpressed

in crevices of vertical shady cliffs. Leaves deep green with light

green irregular palmate oriented spots above, light green with dirty

purple-violet spots below. Flowers light yellowish-green. Abundant at
