Primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky mountain slopes on granite and gneiss at elevation of about 1000 m a.s.l., around point 12º13’N 108º44’E. Creeping epiphytic fern on tall tree along open rocks of small river. Not rare.

Highly degraded secondary evergreen broad-leaved dry forest with bamboo on very steep rocky mountain slope on granite at elevation of about 400 m a.s.l., around point 12º53’N 109º24’E (Bia Mountain). Terrestrial fern on steep shady rocky slope. Locally common.

Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on very steep rocky slopes and on vertical cliffs of remnant highly eroded rocky limestone mountains composed by solid crystalline stratified limestone at elevation 1550-1650 m. Tree to 20 m tall and 70 cm DBH on rocky slope near mountain top. Common.

Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on very steep rocky slopes and on vertical cliffs of remnant highly eroded rocky limestone mountains composed by solid crystalline stratified limestone at elevation 1550-1650 m. Tree 15-20 tall on shady cliffs and on rocky slope. Specimen with ripe female fructifications. Fructifications drupe-like, juicy, sweetish, brightly red. Very common, particularly near mountain top.
