Highly degraded secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest along rocky stream on stratified shale and granite on steep mountain slope at elevation of about 500 m a.s.l. around point 22º24’42’’N 102º24’35’’E. Epiphyte on tall tree. Plant flowered under cultivation.

Primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky mountain slopes on granite and gneiss at elevation of 1000-1200 m a.s.l., around point 12º13’N 108º44’E. Erect or ascending, terrestrial and lithophytic herb to 0.5 m tall on shelves of tall granite cliffs in light shade of rather open forest. Rare.
