Quang Nam Province, Nong Sơn District, Elephant Species and Habitat Conservation Area. Secondary dry evergreen broad-leaved forest on step mountain slopes composed by sandstone at elevation of about 200 m a.s.l. Terrestrial and lithophytic herb with creeping rhizome on shady rocky steep slope along small rocky river. Locally very common.

Bac Kan Province, Ba Be District, Ba Be National Park. Primary and old secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slopes composed by white crystalline marble-like highly eroded limestone around point 22º27’26’’N 105º36’12’E at elev. of 600-800 m a.s.l.
Creeping, ascending and erect terrestrial herb to 0.5 m tall in shady rocky place. Locally very common.
