Shrub or treelet 3-4 m tall on very steep rocky stream slope. Flowers dull dirty purple. Not common.

Terrestrial and lithophytic herb or undershrub up to 2 m tall on rocky shady stream slope. Flowers white. Very common.

Highly degraded primary and secondary broad-leaved evergreen forest on very steep slopes and along tops of ridge composed with solid highly eroded crystalline gray marble-like limestone at elevation about 500-600 m a.s.l. Tree 5-8 m tall on top of ridge. Flowers red-purple. Very common. Usual co-dominant of the forest.

Heavily logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest on slopes and tops of mountains composed with solid highly eroded crystalline limestone at elev. about 900-1150 m a.s.l. Tree up to 20 m tall. Flowers: disk green, tepals white anthers red. Common. Usual co-dominant of first forest stratum.

Heavily logged primary and secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest and scrub on rocky ridge composed with solid and stratified marble-like highly eroded crystalline limestone at elevation 550-650 m a.s.l. Shrub 1-1.5 m tall on open rocks on tops of ridge. Flowers white. Occasional.
