Plant cultivated in private garden of Mr Vo Van Cong in Pleiku City, originated from Dak Lak province, Kon Ka Kinh National Park, with no exact locality. Purchased in 2015 by V.V. Cong. It is observed as locally abundant plant. 13 October 2016 6 living plants L.Averyanov, T.Maisak, AL 262 In culture leaves remain almost all around the year.

Leaves collected for herbarium in 20 January 2018 and in 25 September 2018.

Flowered in 15 March 2024 with no leaves. Sepals and petals dull olive greenish finely speckled with pale brown-purple, lip white with purple marks, greenish in center. L. Averyanov.

The border of Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces, Khanh Le Pass, around point N12º10.7 E108º40.6. Remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on granite and gneiss at elevation about 600 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte on mossy trees. Common.

Son La Prov., Moc Chau Distr., Chieng Son comm., about 1 km to NE from Chieng Son village, around point 20°46’02.0N 104°37’03.1E. Remnants of primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on tops of hills composed with karstic highly eroded yellow-white limestone at elevation 1100-1050 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on mossy tree on hill top. Occasional.

Ha Giang prov., Quan Ba distr., Tung Vai commune, Thung Pang village, around point 23º04ʹ38.6ʺN 104º56ʹ06.8ʺE, steep rocky slopes near hill top composed with stratified highly eroded limestone at elevation 1000–1100 m a.s.l. Remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved very humid forest. Terrestrial and lithophytic herb in shady places among limestone rocks. Not rare. 17 October 2018, L. Averyanov, Nguyen Sinh Khang, T. Lam Dong Province, the border of Lac Duong and Dam Rong districts, Bidoup – Nui Ba National Park, mountain evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest (with Pinus kesiya) at elevation 1600–1800 m a.s.l. Terrestrial creeping herb in shady place along rocky mountain stream. Leaves dark velvety green with whitish median stripe. Common. 21 February 2023, L.
