Dak Nong Province, Dak Song District, Nam Nung Nature Reserve around point 12.1200N 107.4233E. Fractionally logged primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest with Dacrydium, Dacrycarpus and Pinus latteri on granite at elevation about 900 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte on tall tree. Not rare.

Son La Prov., Van Ho Distr., Tan Xuan comm., A Lay village, around point 20°40’46.2N 104°39’49.6E. Primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slopes and on mountain tops composed with red-brown sandstone at elevation about 1500 m a.s.l. Tree 15-20 m tall and 70-80 cm DBH. Rare. Only three trees were seen.

Tree. Rare. Only 3 trees were found.

Primary mixed evergreen forest with bamboo on eroded red-brown sandstone near mountain top at elevation 1350-1400 m a.s.l. around point 20°41′41.1N 104°37′48.9E (20°41′36.9N 104°37′47.6E; 20°41′37.9N 104°37′51.1E). Tree 10-15 m tall. Locally common. About 20 trees were recorded.

Primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on mountain tops and steep summit slopes composed with highly eroded red-brown sandstone at elevation 1400-1500 m a.s.l. around point 20°41’33.2N 104°37’37.0E. Tree 15-20 m tall and 40-45 cm in diam., near mountain top. Rare. Two trees were seen.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, distr. Lac Duong, municipalite Da Chay, 35 km to NE from Dalat city. Open secondary broadleaved evergreen mt forest along river valley on W macroslope of Bi Dup mt system at 1450 m alt. (N 12º 09', E 108º 41'). Tree about 25-30 (up to 35) m hg. Not common, occcur on W and NW macroslope of Bi Dup mt system mostly at 1450-1600 m alt. No VH 4553 04.05.1997

Xiangkhouang Prov., Kham Distr., Huad village, Phou tat Vinh mt., around point 19°32'31.6'N 103°39'40.4'E. Primary and secondary broad-leaved evergreen and semideciduous dry forest on very steep rocky slopes of limestone highly eroded mountains composed by solid marble like limestone at elev. 1200-1400 m a.s.l. Tree to 30 m tall and 1 m DBH. Occasional co-dominant of the forest along ridge edge. Rarely forms coniferous forests on mountain tops (together with Pinus kesiya).

Houphan Prov., Xon Distr., Nong Hua Pa Noi village, around point 20°13'02.1''N 103°24'23.3''E. Primary and secondary broad-leaved evergreen forest on very steep rocky mountain slopes composed by shaly limestone at elev. 1100-1200 m a.s.l. Tree 20-25 m tall in open secondary forest on rocky slope. Locally common. Occasional secondary forest co-dominant.
