S.Vietnam, Binh Thuan Prov., Tuy Phong Distr., Vinh Tan Municipality, about 5 km to the S of Ca Na town. Open secondary shrubs on dry rocky slopes of low hills composed with granite along sea cost at elevation about 100 m a.s.l. Palm like plant with stem up to 1 m tall and very broad base up to 1 m in diam. Occasionally very common.

Dak Nong Province, Dak Song District, Nam Nung Nature Reserve around point 12.1200N 107.4233E. Fractionally logged primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest with Dacrydium, Dacrycarpus and Pinus latteri on granite at elevation about 900 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte on tall tree. Not rare.

Epiphyte on tall trees along ridge edge above tall cliff. Occasional.
