Orchidaceae

Nephelaphyllum tenuiflorum Blume

Vietnam, Quang Binh Prov., Quang Ninh Distr., Truong Son municipality, around point 17º27’43’’N 106º22’50’’E.

Primary and secondary broad-leaved forest on steep shale mountain slopes at elevation 500-700 m a.s.l.

Creeping herb on very steep shady rocky stream slope. Leaves light green with indistinct dark green spots. Not common.

Fl et coll. in Komarov Institute Garden at 12 May 2009. Flowers odorless, sepals, petals and spur light olive-green, lip white with greenish tint, column and anther white, anther cup horns dark purple-violet. Photos.
