Dendrobium thyrsiflorum Rchb.f.

Vietnam, Quang Tri Prov., Huong Hoa Distr.,

Huong Phung Municipality, vicinities of Sa Mui pass,

around point 16º48’36’’N 106º34’44’’E at elevation

about 1400-1500 m a.s.l.

Primary broad-leaved evergreen montane cloudy

forest along main ridge of Sa Mui Mountain.

Lithophytic and epiphytic herb on mossy trees

on vertical open cliffs. Flowers white, lip brightly yellow.
